Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the context of legal proceedings. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also received various international and national prizes. Her work has been with numerous organisations and governments across the world on policy and research pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of various professional associations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family the Practice and Policy.
